In Raven Hill Village of Qilin Country, what was supposed to be a joyous day for the Season Family turned into a scene of chaos and despair as the eldest daughter, Lucy Season, had thrown herself into the well, ending her life. The modest courtyard of the Season Family was now swarming with villagers, abuzz with the drama unfolding.

"What suicide? Its clearly the death omens doing! Who doesnt know that the death omen you spoke of has already killed three wives? Why did our Lucy jump into the well early or late, but just on the day of the wedding? Its because she was cursed by the death omen! You must compensate us!"

The heated argument echoed in Lucys ears as she struggled to make sense of her surroundings. She remembered being ill and dying in her previous life; how was she now hearing voices, unless the afterlife was as chaotic as a marketplace?

The noise was getting to her, and she tried to move but found herself weak and unable to muster much strength. Her forehead throbbed with an intense pain.

With great effort, Lucy opened her eyes, expecting to see the inside of a funeral home, but instead, she was covered by a straw mat.
