My Bullys Love

In the grand hall of the Gu Family estate, Sarah Su gazed curiously at the man seated on the sofa. With his sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, and his chiseled features accentuated by a black suit, he exuded an aura of unyielding ruthlessness and detachment. This was Vincent Gu, the man she was about to marry, the one she had to marry.

Vincent Gu, in turn, narrowed his phoenix-like eyes, scrutinizing Sarah Su. Her long hair tied back in a ponytail, she wore a tattered and patched garment, clean but mended in several places.

Old Man Gu, seated on the other side of the sofa, cleared his throat with an awkward laugh, breaking the silence. "Vincent, Sarah is your fianc茅e. Your marriage was arranged when you were just children. Now that Sarah has come to fulfill the engagement, you should prepare to welcome her into our family."

Vincent responded coldly, "What era is this? We dont abide by childhood betrothals. I suggest we call it off!"

Sarah shook her head immediately, "We cant. When we were engaged, we sought the blessings of our ancestors. If we break the engagement, divine retribution will follow."

Vincents expression darkened further at what he took as her sophistry. "To marry me, youd fabricate such reasons. Do you even know who I am?"

Vincent Gu鈥攖he business circle dubbed him a sly old fox, wise and dark-hearted, decisive and ruthless, without any mercy. Countless women in this world wished to be his wife.

Sarah nodded solemnly, "You are Vincent Gu. My grandmother always told me that I must marry you when I grow up."

Vincent felt as if he had punched a cotton ball. He was almost amused. This woman, who knew nothing about him, was fantasizing about becoming Mrs. Gu.

He impatiently massaged his temple, stood up, and said to Old Man Gu, "I wont go through with this marriage!"

Old Man Gus face turned stern. "If you dont listen, dont call me grandfather anymore."

Vincent, unyielding as ever, was not swayed by threats or pleas. Old Man Gu approached Vincent and spoke earnestly, "Back then, you personally paid respects to Sarahs ancestors. According to the customs of the Mystic Sect, you are already their son-in-law."

Vincent sneered indifferently, "To get me to marry, youre resorting to such excuses."

Old Man Gu was nearly exasperated to the point of vomiting blood. When Vincent was young, he was frequently ill. At twelve, he had a high fever for over ten days, his life hanging by a thread, until a wise man guided them to the reclusive Mystic Sect. The old crone there made only one request: to betroth the two children. On the night of their engagement, Vincents illness miraculously vanished, and he never fell ill again. Every time Old Man Gu mentioned this, Vincent had no recollection and thought he was lying.

Sarah frowned in thought, then seemed to remember something. She took out a scroll from her bag and handed it to Vincent, "Here, read this. Its our marriage contract!"

Vincent skeptically took the scroll, unrolled it, and glanced over it briefly. The contract was filled with many words, and he only read a passage:

"A marriage decree, presented to the heavenly court. Reported to the nine heavens, echoed in the netherworld. Announced to all saints, communicated to the three realms, witnessed by the ancestors of the heavens. The earth and sky as our witness, the sun and moon aligned in heart. To betray the lady is to deceive the heavens. To be forsaken by the lady is to go against divine will. The crime of heavens deceit, death and the end of the path."

It was signed by Sarah Su and Vincent Gu!

Vincent stared at the words heavenly court and netherworld, his face full of mockery. He handed the marriage contract back to Sarah, not wanting to get entangled further and quickly left under the pretext of being busy with work.

Old Man Gu, facing Sarah, spoke with embarrassment and difficulty, "Girl, how about you stay with us for now. Leave this matter to Grandpa to handle, and you just wait at ease."

Sarah could only agree at this point.

Old Man Gu arranged a room for her next to Vincents.

The room was fully furnished but lacked some daily necessities, which Sarah fortunately carried with her.

In the delicate and cozy bedroom, Sarah was tidying up when the door behind her was suddenly pushed open with force.

A girl around twenty years old barged in.

Chloe Gu raised her chin, looking at Sarah arrogantly, "Oh, so youre going to be my sister-in-law. Youre young, but your guts and ambitions are outrageously large."

Sarah stopped what she was doing and looked back at Chloe.

Dressed in designer brands, with jewelry on her fingers and neck worth a fortune, her pretty face lightly made up, she looked like a delicate little princess. However, beneath such a refined exterior, there was a strong aura of blood and disaster looming over her.

Sarah ignored her mockery and sat gracefully on the sofa.

She looked at Chloe and said casually, "How about we make a bet!"

Chloes tone was full of disdain: "Bet on what? Bet that you can become my sister-in-law?"

Sarah picked up the teacup on the table, poured herself a glass of water, and said with a smile, "Bet that you will have a disaster tonight."

Chloe was immediately furious, her eyes wide: "Are you cursing me?"

Sarah shook her head, "Forgot to introduce myself, I am the only successor of the Mystic Sect. I have a little knowledge of fortune-telling, physiognomy, divination, geomancy, and ghost-catching services. Considering our future kinship, I am just kindly warning you."

Chloe didnt believe it at first, but looking into Sarahs eyes, dark and steady, she didnt seem to be joking.

She then scrutinized the woman in front of her.

Despite her ragged attire and lack of valuables, she gave off a feeling of cleanliness untainted by dust.

Especially her eyes, shining like little suns, and when looked into, a sense of ease inexplicably rose in the heart.

Chloe was startled by her own thoughts.

She blushed and said, "Why should I believe you? Its what era is it? Youre still using the banner of mysticism to deceive people everywhere. I wont be fooled!"

Sarah put down her teacup, leaned back on the sofa, and smiled, "You can choose not to believe me, but dont regret it later!"

Chloes heart instantly fluttered.

She originally heard that an unknown girl was going to marry Vincent.

She thought the girl was daydreaming.

To be her sister-in-law, one must be of excellent character, breathtaking beauty, excellent temperament, and extraordinary intelligence.

A person like Sarah, who is poor and unsophisticated, is not worthy at all.

But Sarah said she would have a great disaster.
