Fiona Fu, struggling to make her mark as an actress in Capital City, never anticipated the humiliation of falling flat on her face in front of a crowd at the bustling international airport. She touched her face, relieved that her mask had stayed in place.

Before she could rise, screams erupted around her.

Fans and media reporters raised their cameras, capturing every moment as the international superstar, Hayden Moore, emerged, sunglasses on, escorted by his assistants and bodyguards.

Fiona was knocked to the ground again by the surging crowd when suddenly, the noise died down. A pair of designer boots appeared before her eyes. She looked up, meeting the gaze of the man under his sunglasses.

His pale, chiseled face, slightly curly black hair, and tight jawline betrayed his foul mood.

After years together, Fiona had learned to read every nuance of his expressions.

On impulse, she raised her camera and directed it at him, "Hayden Moore, is the recent scandal with Mia Yu true?"

The moment she asked, the fans screamed in excitement. The man seemed to scoff, bypassing Fiona without a second glance.

"How was it? Did you get anything?" Daisys voice was excited.

Thinking about the incident, Fiona wished she could disappear. Hearing Daisys question, her headache intensified, "What do you think I could get from him? You know who Hayden Moore is, right?"

Sensing the frustration in Fionas voice, Daisy cajoled, "I had no choice but to ask you to go in my place. Consider it a favor for my broken leg..."

Fiona could only agree, her friend pool now reduced to just Daisy.

After hanging up, thinking about Haydens sarcastic gaze, Fionas eyes dimmed, and she lowered her head, feeling desolate.

She touched her face, realizing her mask had fallen off at some point!

In the quiet of Capital Citys midnight, Fiona woke up groggily to the sound of water from the bathroom. She sat up quickly, staring at the direction of the bathroom, her expression dazed.

The water stopped abruptly, and she lay back down quickly, pretending to be asleep.

A tall figure, bare-chested, emerged, his deep eyes darkening as he looked at the small figure now lying on her side.

Fiona kept her eyes tightly closed, the covers were pulled back, and a chill entered the bed. After the man got in, there was silence.

Just as Fiona thought the night would pass peacefully, the man suddenly spoke, "I didnt know youve taken up paparazzi work?"

Fionas eyelashes quivered, and after hesitating for a while, she said, "Xinxin hurt her foot, so she asked me to replace her."

Daisy Ding, a gossip reporter, or as the industry calls them, a paparazzi, had to miss covering Haydens return to Capital City due to an injury. She had insisted that Fiona take her place.

"Ive said before, I dont want to be associated with you in public," his cold voice continued.

Fionas heart constricted, her lips turning pale before she whispered, "It wont happen again."

The air froze for half a minute before Fiona felt a sudden weight on her, and a cold hand touched her skin, causing her to shiver uncontrollably.

With her cheeks flushed, Fiona stared at the ceiling, still unable to get used to the intimacy between them, despite being married, their hearts remained distant.

Indeed, she and Hayden Moore, the international superstar, had obtained their marriage certificate half a year ago.
