In the bustling atmosphere of Capital Citys Sky Bridge, under the scorching summer sun, the evening breeze provided a welcomed relief. Vendors had set up their diverse stalls beneath the bridge, their calls rising and falling in a chaotic symphony, creating a lively scene.

Sharon Luo sat cross-legged on a cushion, her chin propped up by her hand. She couldnt help but feel a sense of loss as she watched a young girl, who had just made eye contact with her, get pulled away by a friend to check out hair clips at the neighboring stall.

Counting on her fingers, Sharon let out a long sigh; this was the one hundred and fifty-second person today who had only looked but not asked, let alone bought anything. No wonder her masters had warned her that life off the mountain would be tough. It was really difficult.

Her delicate face scrunched up as she rested her chin on her hand, feeling the emptiness of her pockets, her mouth turned down in distress.

“Psst—” A small, suppressed chuckle came from beside her, and Sharon looked over in surprise to see Wayne Wang, the phone screen protector vendor, sneaking glances at her.

Caught in the act, Waynes face flushed with embarrassment when he met Sharons clear eyes, a sense of awkwardness written all over his face.

Wayne, still feeling awkward, looked at the unattractive black dog skin plaster in her delicate hand and found it somewhat amusing, momentarily forgetting his embarrassment. He asked, "How much does it cost?"

Sharons eyes brightened even more, curving into a beautiful arc that made the small red mole on her forehead seem more vibrant. Her smile was radiant as she said, "Only one dollar, please."

She had seen everyone just tap on their phones a few times, and then the money would arrive, which she found quite magical.

Seeing the Nokia in her hand, where the numbers had been worn off, Wayne couldnt help but twitch at the corners of his mouth.

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of several porcelain bottles that had fallen out of her bag when she was searching through it. They were labeled with words like "Revival Pills," "Antidote," "Soul-Breaking Water." If he wasnt mistaken, that round, dark object was a Feng Shui compass. His mouth twitched even more.

This must be a swindling girl from some remote mountain area.

Forget it, she must be desperate.

With a sigh, he took out a one-dollar coin from his wallet.

Holding the coin in her hand, Sharon was in great spirits, her voice filled with joy as she said, "Thank you, sir. Youre so kind. You will make a fortune today."

Wayne just laughed, taking her words as auspicious talk and didnt pay much attention to them. He casually put the plaster into his pocket.

Sharon blinked, "All of them?"

"Yes, all of them," he replied, pulling out a stack of red banknotes from his pocket, "Im not short on money."

Sharon marveled, not delaying in action. She found a bag and packed all the plasters inside, instructing on the usage, "Just apply it where it hurts."

Finally, she handed him the bag, "A total of ninety-nine plasters, buy five get one free, thats eighty dollars. Ill give you the remaining three for free."

"No need for free," Sheldon took out a red banknote and handed it to her, pointing at the coin in her hand, "Ninety-nine dollars, give me this as change."

This was the first time Sharon had seen someone decline a discount. A big client indeed, with a generous hand.

Sharon was not pretentious and readily handed him the one-dollar coin.
