The Fu family mansion.

Living room.

The atmosphere was somewhat strange.

"Whats going on?" Sean Fu, the master of the Fu mansion, sat at one end of the leather sofa, his expression indifferent and cold.

On the other end of the sofa, on a chaise lounge, lay a little bundle of joy, with black hair and long eyelashes, sleeping soundly in a sprawled position.

Seemingly tired of one position, the little one waved her chubby arm, her plump little hand feeling around to the left and right, then her little bottom arched up, and without even opening her eyes, she grunted and crawled from the chaise lounge to his side.

Her soft little arms and legs clung to one of his arms, and she rubbed her fluffy little head against his leg, then flipped over to expose her little belly and continued to sleep soundly.

Sean Fu looked at Dr. Song Xu, the director of Huaen Orphanage, sitting opposite him.

"Director Song said this child is from your orphanage, so why was she found in my Fu family mansion at four in the morning?"

Dr. Song Xu looked somewhat embarrassed.

"Mr. Fu, Yvonne Yan was sent to our orphanage by the police a week ago, but this child is quite difficult to care for."

Seeing Sean Fus silence, Dr. Song Xu continued hesitantly.

"Mr. Fu, this child has a severe case of day-night reversal, sleeping during the day and being active at night. Look at my dark circles... theyre from this past week. Last night there was a heavy rain, and Yvonne disappeared. The staff and I searched for her for most of the night, but this isnt the first time Yvonne has gone missing."

Sean Fu spoke indifferently, "Such as?"

Dr. Song Xu looked at the sleeping bundle of joy and couldnt help but feel heartbroken.

"On the first night at the orphanage, we found her missing and discovered her under a small locust tree three hundred meters away from the orphanage. The second night, she was missing again and found in an abandoned oil drum in the orphanages backyard. For the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth nights, we took turns watching her and managed to keep her in sight."

Sean Fu stroked the soft hair of the little one, his voice cold.

"Last night was the seventh night, and you didnt watch her, so she disappeared again? And ended up in my mansion?"

Dr. Song Xu was embarrassed.

But it was the truth!

Not to mention the head of the Fu family, even he himself couldnt believe it.

Huaen Orphanage and Fu family mansion were located at the south and north ends of the city, more than a hundred kilometers apart. How could a three-and-a-half-year-old child make it to the Fu family mansion on her own in the middle of the night?

"Mr. Fu, are you saying... you want to adopt this child?"

Sean Fu nodded, "Yes!"

Dr. Song Xu was shocked.

After all, Sean Fu was known for his cold and unapproachable demeanor. Even though he already had three sons, everyone knew he was a stern father.

"Are you going to be Yvonnes dad in the human world?"

Sean Fu raised his eyebrows, "Human world?"

Yvonne Yan nodded, explaining very seriously.

"Yes, the human world! Yvonnes real dad lives in the underworld."

Sean Fu couldnt help but feel heartbroken.

He picked up the little bundle of joy from the sofa, looking into her big black and white eyes, and the admiration and expectation in her eyes, and gently kissed her forehead.

"Okay, Ill be Yvonnes dad in the human world."

Yvonne Yan was overjoyed and gave her human dad a kiss on the cheek.

"Thats great! Yvonne has a dad in the human world now! Yvonne can tell her dad to come pick her up later! Oh, and dad, my name is Yvonne Yan, and it cant be changed."

Sean Fu felt heartbroken for her, knowing that the little one probably didnt understand that having family in the underworld meant death, and always thought her biological dad would come to pick her up.

"Okay, no name change, youll be Yvonne Yan. And after a hundred years, let Yvonnes dad come to pick her up!"
